Wireless Coexistence Research Group

Main research areas

Our area of expertise is the coexistence of broadcast, mobile and general wireless services in shared or nearby frequency bands. Our group of researchers is active in both theoretical and experimental methodologies for coexistence within and outside the systems themselves, as well as in the interaction of systems and subsystems of communication devices, and in frequency planning or modeling of critical and non-critical coexistence scenarios.

Main practical research results

  • Definition of coexistence between broadcast services, WLAN and WPAN in terms of measurement, modeling and algorithmization to achieve or eliminate mutual interference in these applications.
  • A media player for subjective tests of the quality of video sequences.
  • Slide selector for subjective evaluation of image and video quality.
  • Automated measurement and evaluation of quality parameters of wireless systems.
